Why We Drive For Men’s Health

Drive For Men’s Health Reasons

Men are notorious for not taking care of ourselves, and the Drive for Men’s Health is our way of promoting and educating men across the county on prevention and awareness of many of the health disorders that can result. The event will begin on June 12 in Clermont, Florida, ending in New York City some 24 hours later. Along the way, we will be stopping to chat with large groups of men in several local communities, spreading the word about men’s health issues.

We all have a million excuses as to why we fail to eat properly and exercise regularly. We can even come up with a hundred different reasons why we really don’t need that annual physical checkup from the doctor. Yes, we men are experts at rationalization, but where does this come from?

Men’s Health Awareness

Most of us have tried at some point in our lives to better focus on fitness and diet. We start out enthusiastic and motivated, but this ambition quickly disappears. Sometimes we simply get bored with our exercise routine. Other times we may be looking for a “quick fix” that seems to take much longer than we had hoped. And very often, we simply fail to ask for help. The Drive for Men’s Health is going to be a fun event that simply gets the conversation going once again regarding proper healthcare for men.

As men begin to age, our metabolism changes drastically. When once we were able to eat anything and everything that we wanted and still remain fit and trim, we often find ourselves out of shape and overweight during our middle years, even though our diets have remained exactly the same. The Drive for Men’s Health will be discussing many of these types of issues during numerous stops across the country. Learning the proper way to eat healthy and exercise are the important first steps to better prevention and awareness of health issues men face every day.
