Can you ever recall a time you’ve felt uncomfortable with your body? Can you pinpoint why you might have felt that way? Everyday. I have always been underweight and that was my biggest insecurity, especially during the summer time while engaging in outdoor activities. I wanted to be in shape and muscular like the rest. I engaged in men’s health awareness and learned a lot of ways to eat healthy and exercise. I’m not exactly where I want to be but I know with hard work and a healthy lifestyle I will reach my goal.

What drives you to live a healthy lifestyle? My family – my husband and children. I want to live a long time so I can enjoy what our future holds.
Can you ever recall a time you’ve felt uncomfortable with your body? Can you pinpoint why you might have felt that way? I’ve felt uncomfortable with my body for most of my life, but one specific occurrence was when I was pregnant with my first child. I did not eat as healthy as I should have during that pregnancy, and as a result, put on a lot of weight. During my second pregnancy, I was much more cognizant of what went into my body, and as a result, I did not gain nearly as much weight as I did the first time around.

Food you would eat all the time if it was zero-calorie: Ice cream. Specifically Ben and Jerry’s. More specifically: The Tonight Dough.
What drives you to live a healthy lifestyle? My parrot always wants a share of whatever I’m eating, and she’s too old to be eating bad food.
Can you ever recall a time you’ve felt uncomfortable with your body? Can you pinpoint why you might have felt that way? I can’t recall a time that I’ve not felt that. From a young age, I suffered having uncontrollable asthma, which led me to be not only remarkably less athletic than my peers, but also the laughing stock of gym class. My lack of both movement intelligence and strength have always been points of frustration for me.
