Cross-Country Drive For Men’s Health Increases Awareness

Raising awareness of men’s health issues is extremely important. That’s why Dr. Jamin Brahmbhatt and Dr. Sijo Parekattil of The PUR Clinic have committed to the Drive For Men’s Health. This annual event encourages men all across America to seek out more information about the conditions that affect them.

Reaching Men Everywhere

Since its inception, the Drive For Men’s Health has traveled over 7,000 miles, encouraging men to get check-ups, seek out primary care and learn how the latest technologies can help them maintain better health. The vehicle of choice for their road trip has been Dr. Parekattil’s electric Tesla S. Ably assisted by sponsors such as South Lake Hospital and Anytime Fitness, they consistently make the journey across the United States in just 10 days each year. Their sponsors also include:

These are just a few of the many businesses that have committed to support the effort to improve men’s health in Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and other parts of America.

What Happens On The Drive

Their route starts on June 9 in Florida and ends on June 18 in California. The doctors actively engage with men of all ages and their loved ones, live in person and on social media. This helps the Drive For Men’s Health to have an even bigger impact. Supporters can tweet questions, share pictures taken with the doctors during their journey on Facebook and Instagram and even blog live about the event. With the help of television, print and other media, the cross-country tour has reached over 400 million people.

Promoting Awareness Of Local Health Providers

Both urologists are pleased with the outpouring of response the initiative has received. They promote the physicians in surrounding areas at every stop they make. This helps to ensure that men will follow up on treatment options which are discussed with the doctors on their cross-country trip. Proceeds from the drive will be used to sponsor a genetic health study on men and a scholarship at Florida Polytechnic University.
